When an organization undergoes a rebrand, you have to be sensitive to their history. Bridges was already well-known for their unique purple, but the previous color, name, and logo were similar to another organization that does a different kind of work. So we opted to integrate the sign for Bridges in the logo by abstracting two hands curled together, identifying the group as a safe place for those who are deaf, Deaf, or hard-of-hearing. The icon is based on the ASL “name” sign for the organization.
